THE NEW INQUIRY BOX

This little matchbox was made for Rachel Rosenfelt, Founder of The New Inquiry, with the intention of representing her non-profit in a whimsical, miniature way. The vintage box used is a very rare Otagirl piece hailing from Japan and features a blinking eye hologram. Coming out of a book near the eye is a super tiny Flicker from the 60s which switches between IN THE DARK? and BRIGHT IDEA with rotation. The eye opens with BRIGHT IDEA. Inside the box is found The New Inquiry logo, and pencils are holding up some of the Fornasetti faces that represent its staff. CLICK to see all 15 images! MORE

THE STRESS BOX

KICKSTARTER SUCCESS!

I’m excited to report that on Sunday my KickStarter campaign for Matchbox Me was funded, and at 120% with 74 backers!! Thank you all for your support, whether through your contribution or your promotion. I’m beginning to receive profiles back from those who pledged for personalized matchboxes; it is an indescribable honor to be shared with in the way that I have been, on such a personal level, and to a large extent by strangers from around the world. I will do my very best at boxing you all up!
