WILL I STILL TURN YOUR MATTE TO SEMI-GLOSS

Excerpt of a poem I wrote on aging that was included in audio form inside one of my assemblage boxes. It was written as a fun, indirect poetic plea to my partner of nearly 10 years, who ironically became my ex soon after this work was completed. What an emotional journey is this life… But no matter the wrinkles, the aches, or the breakdowns, our home remains strong. And that home is a forever child. Ageless and forever enough. So find your inner child and let him or her be a rock star today. Because being enough, is only the beginning.

BOWIE THE BRAVE

Thank you, David Bowie, for having been uncompromising with who you are, and for giving a deeper license to all artists everywhere to not only feel their “enough-ness”, but to move out of the relationships that would thwart the shining of their uniqueness and their worth at full capacity. Your teaching is priceless, and timeless, and has enriched my life. [Featured: “COWBOY SHERRY”, shot by Nathalie Michel.]
