PARK AVE DOUGH

I may periodically focus on “manifesting money” while remaining blind to the ways in which it’s showing up, right under my nose… in other forms. Having gratitude for #bread, whether cash or literal, puts a whole new spin on what it means to feel wealthy, moment by moment.

POSING PAIN

I have a shaman. We meet near the river in Williamsburg. Her name is that of a cute, small bird. She is removing from me the poses of self-disregard that have kept my heart and head on the spin cycle in a deserted laundromat. Here’s to our cores, to holding steady, to not speaking, to speaking, to emulating a tree… until we can get it right. Here’s to getting support, when we need it.

ROCKER ME

If you want clarity, put your head near some damp, salty rocks. You’ll get your answer… Throwback pic from my early days in NYC, on an escape trip to Long Beach.

MARINARA

Tarnished and patched.
Frozen in red silence.
This horse of Athens.
Like how I’m feeling right now…
As I’m reminded that most of the “work” of living
Happens around what we categorize as “our work”.

LAST MINUTE IDEA

I can get down with the homemaker thing
As much as I can laugh at the absurdity

DOING THE POSSIBLE

It was this past September, and my boyfriend’s birthday. I surprised him with dinner at his favorite place, with three of his favorite people. The dinner bill came in an amount that could have gotten me to California and back, a couple of times… and I’ve had fewer moments, in my life, as gratifying as paying it.

All at once, I understood MORE

INTROVERT’S VIEW

Peering into a show I did in the past with printing giant MMT. I did speak before the crowd that night, so I guess this introvert can get her extra on…

THE FILM GAP

There was something magical about that gap of time between the shot and the result that shooting with film made possible. I’d spread new slides out on a massive light box like a kid at Christmas. My interaction with those vibrant mounted miniature scenes was my church.

HOW I DO FREEZING

A little bit kid, a little bit grandma. The cold can be the temptress of style compromise, but pink laces serve to jazz up the drab.
