DOROTHY’S SANDALS

Some slips should be allowed to be skirts, and some sparkle should be permitted when you’re alone at home. #enjoybeingalive 💝

MOLTEN CORE

Playing dress-up with my grandmother’s scarves, gloves from a high school dance competition, my prized holing lace Betsey Johnson staple from my friend Shelley, and a string of pom-poms from Michael’s that I intended for a necklace the very moment spotted! #bewhoyouare #playistheway 😘

DOT OF DUTY

A retro dot in a wine shop
Meets my retrograding Venus
Reminding me I’m mad at Mars
For claiming fire for its own

I reel not in my vocal prickles
To appreciate red lipstick today
I drink not in the serene
Or throw my passion underwater
But instead ask
If MORE

CHRISTIE CONE

What is, and where is, art, to you? How liberating I find it, to see in shapes and colors, to level the fields of creative value and merit. A Mondrian, a candy wrapper, a Pollock, a splattered curb… no matter. Art is where you let it find you. What a collector you can be, when your eyes own your surroundings. What are you owning, out of your ordinary life, as an art piece today?

PRIZE TIME

If only I had that thing yellow and pink
Of synthetic fiber and poorly glued eyes
If only I had better control of that metal claw
And could be awarded some stuffed moon with a smile
For that would make my hard life mellow
Right now

If only I’d not the need
To throw quarter rolls
In pursuit of if onlys
And if only if onlys MORE

BREAKFAST BOX

They say breakfast is the most important meal of the day. If coffee for two hours, followed by some lemon juice in water an hour later, and then a berry protein shake yet another hour later, counts as breakfast, I couldn’t agree more! I’m a day grazer, and dinner is my celebration… I live life as a delayed gratifier, and what can I say, it works for me! MORE

OOEY GOOEY

One of the first of my mannerisms that Johnny took note of when we got together is that I often bring my hands to my heart… The significance of this was deepened when we found a baby picture of me on my parents’ wall, in which I was also holding my heart.

Be it my friend’s child running MORE

BEGGING TO BE BEAUTIFUL

A wound in a heart learns how to make a planter out of itself, learns how to fill its own void, but that doesn’t mean we lose sight of the fact there’s a foreign object in there where once there’d only been organ meat.

That there’s only playful ahead for us, now that we’ve that planter.

Or that we’ll lose all sense memory of the MORE
